The reason is because you'll find yourself doing a whole lot of nothing in the early part of the game, and you'll often be dead long before you get to cast those big, powerful (and expensive) spells
Load up an opposing land with 3-4 copies of Psychic Venom, tap it with Icy repeatedly, and see how long the game lasts
That means stealing the best tool from the yard and still swinging as a 4/4
With the frequent use of +1/+1 counters everywhere in modern Magic, Kulrath Knight comes in and punishes our opponents them for using them
(2024-06-07) A transforming double-faced card enters the battlefield with its front face up by default, unless a spell or ability instructs you to put it onto the battlefield transformed or allows you to cast it transformed, in which case it enters with its back face up
This is sweet card, not bonkers by any means, but a sweet card that is very functional
