In fact looking at the MTG Commander Masters deck's mana base, it doesn't seem to be any better than a regular precon MTG Commander deck

You can typically pay one mana to trade a card for their best card in hand, or three mana to trade one card for their two worst cards

That being said, it is one of the easiest ways to win the game, as you dont need to cast any other cards from your hand to win

While it wasn't the best against a creature based strategy, it usually was good enough to at least gain the caster back the one card spent casting the enchantment in the first place
