I wouldnt suggest in putting more than 2 copies of this card in one deck, but I find it much more powerful in the mid to late game when Mana Leak starts to lose its power

Two mana for 3 damage at instant speed is the gold standard on its own, so if you can find both colors of mana regularly this is like starting the average game at 22 or so if you can pack four copies

Despite this, WotC continues to churn out mini set after mini set of Alchemy cards, and is likely making at least some profit from doing so as well
