Unlike other sources of ramp, like creatures or artifacts that tap for mana, lands are very difficult to remove from the battlefield, and unlike temporary ramp, like Dark Ritual, extra lands continue to provide an advantage turn after turn
Thats a two-for-one benefit every time you sling a spell
And while the deck does well in making tokens, not all of them are creatures, and it wont always be enough creatures where we can be both aggro and sacrifice
You wont be able to tap it again for improvise
Think about it: Its a tapped black source on one half, nerfed Village Rites on the other
While this could be true, the Commander decks have been revealed for almost an entire week at this point
