Its not like the deck has a lot of wiggle room try for a better threat if it has Tron assembly in its opener, and cutting too many threats in sideboarding can get problematic
This is only land early which limits what it helps with while other card quality can get action or lands
Merfolk didn't get much of a Constructed boost from The Lost Caverns of Ixalan , but it did give us the best merfolk commander ever printed, and there are always die-hard fish fans dedicated to playing Merfolk in Modern and various Eternal formats
