When Im building a mono-red deck, I want to go straight to the red section and find Chaos Warp

They serve a purposethat purpose just doesn't involve showing up in formats like Standard, Modern, or Pioneer

And then, with Summon The Spirits, all of those discarded characters are then shuffled back into your deck

Thats much harder to do if you dont pair the red with blue, but its an option nonetheless

This means it's not possible to cheat creatures into play out of nowhere (which madness can do), but it also means you're granted more flexibility, because you can cast a spell for its mayhem cost at any point during the turn in which it was discarded (rather than having to choose immediately as per madness rules)
