There are so many original characters, creatures and concepts to cram in, and only so many existing cards that are a thematic fit
Constructed staples (Manamorphose, Path to Exile, etc.) stood a decent chance at recovering until the pandemic shut down paper play, but casual cards are still selling well all over the Internet
Would you rather buy a whole Booster box of Twilight Masquerade? That is also possible
Ways to close a game in this case, Shadow Alley Denizen and Cover of Darkness help me to swing in easier, as does having many Flying vampires in my list
As for the price discrepancy between the two art versions of the card, we see this often and I'm never quite sure if it's because people badly crave the original artwork, or if it's simply that the special treatments are more common in rare-stuffed collector boosters and therefore there are more of them on the market
That said, the card doesnt technically draw cards (neither does Bolass Citadel, but that card doesnt really need support to work)
