The deck itself is not a highly optimized fast-to- and play-to-win deck, rather one that slowly but steadily wears down the opponent and builds on the fact that sooner or later mistakes are made that reveal a weakness that can be exploited
Most cards fit into one of the first five rarity levels, Common, Uncommon, Rare, Super Rare, and Legendary, but certain secret cards have a special Enchanted Rarity instead
The only exception to this is the whole sequence starting from the battle at Goug Lowtown, where until you defeat Cchulainn, you can't leave the southern part of the world map even after the battle at Golgollada Gallows
Here's one other bit of flavor: you'll notice on the XIV weapons, the Equipment cards have ability words

You can also simply lose the first battle to a lucky string of bad rolls, and since none of the characters except yours are controllable, the AI can shaft you (very rarely, but it is technically possible)
