Just like the player, much of their success is based on the random element of the game
I mean, when I flip over my Fumiko the Lowblood Mono-Red deck or my Beast-Centric Surraks Beasts and Where to Find Them, it can feel a little weak when I have decks running like Legacy Mono-Blue replete with Force of Will, Stasis, and Gush as well as powerhouses like the (now banned) Leovold, Emissary of Trest and other fast and offensive leaders
This isn't really the graveyard payoff you're looking for, but you'll play it
Wed already seen treasure-generating artifacts along the lines of Goldvein Pick and Prying Blade, but nothing compares to the sheer value of The Reaver Cleaver
It wasn't the most pronounced thing going on in that set, but it gave us most of the staple creatures you expect to see in every Squirrel deck, plus support pieces like Chitterspitter
Its static ability offers an incredible cost reduction thats easily abused while creating a fleet of 1/1s to finish the game
