Primal Wellspring: I would cast a card draw spell and repeat it
Cut a Deal is a card I admittedly passed over initially, but I think it fills a particular role that each deck wants at least some of: consistent draw that requires the least board investment to accomplish
Unlike Isochron Scepter, the spell doesnt have to cost 2 or less
The Grim Captains Locker A fine engine in Admiral Beckett Brass EDH decks, 4 mana is probably too much for The Grim Captain's Locker to see wide play
It gives +1/+1 and haste to a creature, and creates a monk token to attach it to when you cast your second spell each turn
The possibility that any card in Historic can be retroactively rebalanced, nerfed, or fundamentally changed at any time throws Historic deck-building into volatility, and opens the otherwise static format to unanticipated changes
