Even without sacrificing much, having your creatures trade off in combat triggers this creature and makes it very big very quickly

Both are quite cheap and very low initial impact that offer some card quality over time and then ultimately flip into some potential payoff

Given all this, I expect WotC to continue exploring doubling spells in supplemental products where Standard balance is no concern
