The high land count provides a good basis to summon them, supported by artifacts included in the deck or creature cards like Klauth or the Savage Ventmaw
In Modern, CotV mainly sees play to have hate interaction against one drop creatures like DRC and Ragavan and 0 mana spells like Living End, Glimpse of Tomorrow or Crashing Footfalls
Others want them to be Draft Boosters, because they want to use their prizes to do more drafting
Blinking the cloaked creature will return it face up
And sure, this can grant indestructibility when it enters, or can do it at instant speed if you have the mana for disguise which means that it will kill whatever blocks it and survive thanks to death touch and indestructibility, but it seems like youre just paying too much mana for this no matter how you deploy it
Deathtouch Enabler - No one wants to chump block a 1/1 deathtouch token and trade down mana and a card, so with a deathtouch enabler this will force bad trades with non-cards or take a poison counter
