We cant copy a Comet Storm that has multiple targets, but we can spend two mana (the same amount wed use to add the extra targets, so maybe Fireball is a better example) to send it to everyones face
Back in 2019, one of WotC's stated goals for Pioneer was to provide a non-rotating format where Standard cards would rotate into by 2019, Modern's card pool had become so large that it no longer served the needed role of format where you can use your Standard cards after rotation. Pioneer was designed as that retiring home of sorts, where Standard cards could see play after being rotated out
Neither hexproof nor card draw will win games on their own, but with a well-built deck they are incredibly powerful tools to have in your toolbox
Its a really fun political card
Access to removal is big for Emerald while keeping tempo, but discard or strength buffs will always have a place
