Youll obviously get the most out of the game if youre already a fan of Final Fantasy series, with decks and sets built around the fan-favourite entries in the series like VII, VIII and X, but the FFTCGs gameplay makes it an absolutely worthwhile collectible card game in its own right if you have no idea who Tifa, Tidus or Squall are, too
There is also a feeble attempt at tutoring with a couple of cards, along with card draw
Effects like Experimental Synthesizer or Wrenn's Resolve can generate additional mana in the form of Treasure tokens, making it easy to ramp
I really only play casually with some friends and this deck wins 8 times out of 10 and is so much fun to play.
Honorable Mention #1 - Vilis, Broker of Blood Let me ask you a quick question
Pros: Fetches a non-basic Forest from your library Puts that land directly on the battlefield, untapped Cons: Slow ramp at three mana Low power and toughness for mana cost How to get it: Seventh Edition 14
