I think the issue is Explore provides the illusion of velocity without providing the kind of velocity that wins games
I like it the best in blue/green Town decks because that deck can splash other colors easily and doesnt care about giving them a token (a token thats way more of a liability in this format due to all the decent equipment)
Picking characters from the Spider-Man canon as part of a wider set would leave far too many characters on the cutting room floor
