The first time I properly met Simon was at Pro Tour Oath of the Gatewatch, where his team, Team Eureka, broke this deck out into the world after previously only being seen as a fringe deck on Magic Online (funnily enough, the CEO of ThreeForOne, Oliver Polak-Rottman, was also part of Team Eureka!)
Overmaster might not shine outside of spellslinger builds, but its a sincerely powerful silver bullet against any deck looking to counter your spells
Creatures are some of the simpler cards to understand in the game and dont require as much of an understanding of sequencing as something like a spellslinger deck
Kishla Village Kishla Village is a bit overpriced for surveil, but a self-mill of two cards per turn is quite the fuel if your deck needs to get going
This is a pretty common effect in white, but very powerful in the current landscape of Standard
With mana acceleration, you can power out your commander early, turn every noncreature spell into more bodies on the field, then finish the game
