Both versions Awesome, but Impractical: The upgraded version of "Jim's Trumpet" is THE most cost effective way to heal horror from multiple people in the game, and it can trigger off Curses on top of Skull tokens, but has the trade off that only Jim's own tests can trigger it, unlike the basic version that can be triggered by tests of other Investigators, which overall lowers the frequency and likelihood you can activate the signature, unless you fill the bag with Curse tokens
The card's first effect is less important, but provides decent utility, as the card is treated as "Dark Magician" when it is on the field or the GY
Once Gouki is staring down 2-3 Colossus and a Titan, the game is usually over
Probably not the end of the world or anything especially since they tend to be kind of lax with DV, but still
It does have the restriction of only triggering twice a turn, but between a decent board set up and blinking shenanigans your mileage will be high with Nadu
