Nether Shadow is a creature that can pop out back from the graveyard once most creatures have died, and it has an ability that would be keyworded to 'Haste' -- almost all creatures need to take a turn after being summoned before they can attack, but Nether Shadow can just do it the moment it pops in the battlefield
Every time the ability triggers and resolves (and fails to transform the clone), it immediately triggers again, and so on, ad infinitum
At least with Macabre Waltz we know Liliana Vess
A three mana 3/3 Reach is fine, and in the late game this boost is decent
