Both Amethyst/Emerald and Emerald/Steel have viable Discard decks that become even more potent with fewer Sapphire decks (with less draw power) standing in their way, so its reasonable to assume that Emerald Discard decks will reenter the meta in a big way

Many cards in this deck are pretty weak on their own, which means the opponent can easily counter if they have more powerful Character cards, particularly in the late game
So the fundamentals are strong, and more importantly they're fun
