However, compared to established WB value engines like Lurrus of the DreamDen (in eternal formats), Tenth District Legionnaire (in more aggressive shells), or even general token/value engines like Monastery Mentor (outside color), this card is slower and requires consistent targeting to scale, which can make it less impactful in competitive formats unless the metagame strongly rewards spelldense creature builds
Town Ramp (Green/Blue) Simic (green/blue) is built around the new Town land type
That single text difference turned this card from just okay to one of the best cards you could play in land-based Commander decks
Defabricate The first ability on defabricate is nothing special, but the second one is the stifle effect, and that one is always welcome in an EDH environment, where cancelling fetchland triggers can be very important in the early game
