I have seen this card used as a top end threat but without a fairly decent amount of ramp and good colour fixing I think it is a lot worse than Baneslayer or Wurmcoil in that sort of role

Id like to be wrong because Kykar is incredibly cool, but I doubt Kykar will take flight outside of casual play
