The deck was created by Kevin Nance prior to the 2006-2007 US National Championship and featured not just Gardevoir ex , but also Swampert ex CG 98 and Scizor ex UF 108 - truly a hodge-podge of attackers
You also get the upside of ambushing some random attackers or saving your team from Crux of Fate if you have spell mastery , so I think there is a chance this shows up in standard, most likely as a one or two-of in control decks (although it might just be overshadowed by the more flexiable Secure the Wastes which can play a similar role)
Having payoffs that care about creatures entering the battlefield or the number of creatures you control will only make this card even better
At 3/3, a lot of decks are going to have to lose multiple utility creatures per turn to block your tokens, which feels terrible for them
If youre sitting on plenty of spare mana then Miserys Shadow can do some serious damage
