Its very difficult to remove, and drains your opponent for 2 when it dies (usually 4, including the creature that was sacrificed to pay the ward cost)

Thats why I was pretty surprised to see how much the color combo could support the strategy, and thats as good as it is

Most card-draw spells net you 1 extra card for 3 or 4 mana

One other subtle strength here is the degree of control you can have over exactly when cards are milled, and how many (assuming you have painlands or other unrestricted self-damage sources)

The existence of Saga Creatures also recontextualizes the existing Saga support cards

Cards without the word ninja in their typeline will not be included
