In the era of B/W Tokens, when LSV was shining in Standard with cards like Ajani Goldmane and G/W Tokens was rising up to meet B/W as one of the strongest decks in Standard (again with Ajani), I kept wanting to cut the planeswalker when in fact it was the best planeswalker in Standard for a fair stretch
Black currently lacks the tools for a true control deck (why does this sound familiar?) and if such a deck were to return, the top end would feature game-enders like Corrupt and Consume Spirit
This is the Rancor of equipment since it gives +2/+0 and can be replayed for 1 mana, and lacks trample but can be used by any color
