He was nerfed in three ways: Ink cost upped to 3 from 2 Ward keyword removed Card text changed from Whenever you play a Floodborn character to Whenever you play a Floodborn character, if you used Shift to play them Now the conversation has moved on to whether another powerful Emerald card should be banned/nerfed

The skill has now been changed so that instead of activating whenever a Floodborn character is played, it will now only activate when you use Shift to play a Floodborn character
