Tangle Vale is significantly worse than a forest, but to a player who is mana screwed or has no use for the mana on the turn they want to play it, it is certainly functionally similar
It compensates with excellent artifact/enchantment removal, and if you're already in Bear country, you can't go wrong with Fade From History
Mindlink Mech's triggered ability can target only a creature that was tapped to pay its crew cost this turn
A 1/1 isnt nothingit can save you a lot of life by chump-blocking, it can poke your opponent for a few points of damage, it can carry Equipment, and perhaps most exciting of all, you can reuse its enters-the-battlefield ability with all sorts of shenanigans
The deck has decent card draw and removal, though in a heads-up match against the rabbit menace, it could struggle dealing with go-wide token-makers like Hop to It
You can make Knight of the Reliquary even more powerful, and or team up with cards like Ravens Crime, Liliana of the Veil, or Flame Jab
