Members[edit] Playing style[edit] In the OCG / TCG , the "Dark Tuner" archetype focuses on revealing themselves in the player's hand, followed by immediately Normal Summoning a "Dark Tuner" monster, and share the following effect: Once per turn, if you control this Normal Summoned/Set card: You can Tribute both this face-up card and 1 face-up non-Tuner with a lower Level, and if you do, Special Summon 1 Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck with a Level equal to the difference in Levels of those monsters (this is treated as a Synchro Summon) This allows them to bypass Synchro Material requirements for Synchro Monsters such as "Naturia Beast" and "Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon", making them accessible in strategies that otherwise would not be able to Summon them
Not being able to be targeted is also decent, but won't protect it from something like Raigeki or Drowning Mirror Force

They usually include far less popular Digimon than your usual anime protagonists, but EX06 Infernal Ascension is quite the opposite
