I don't think I knew any legitimate strategy back then so as far as I can recall my deck had like 3 or 4 types of energy clogging it up, which I suppose is the equivalent of the classic '4 Fire moves on Charizard' syndrome
The addition of the 3 Check-Lands Sulfur Falls, Glacial Fortress and Clifftop Retreat and Weathered Wayfarer make for a nice addition to the Jeskai Mana base

Three mana for a menacing 2/3 is a nice rate, but allowing you to draw a card anytime you hit a player with a modified creature is the real star of the show
