I think Traitorous Greed has the best potential in Zada, Hedron Grinder, where it's actually a super janky ritual that generates mana if you target Zada with it and have at least 2 other creatures on the battlefield
A four mana counterspell is not a very good control card as it is so hard to do anything else on the turn you play it, often the mana you gain is just recovering the tempo loss from having a four mana counter
