Failing any of that, it was all modular, so anything he couldn't finish was easy to pull out, and everything had simpler alternatives
Seeing as its attack only required colorless energy, Scyther could be safely slotted into any deck, and it was for a time, though using Swords Dance turn one and then tossing a Double Colorless energy and attacking for 60 was a truly spicy way to begin games back in the day when this card was released
A 4/3 for 3 mana with multiple abilities is just a great rate, but this guy drawing you creatures whenever another one of your creatures dies is one of the better abilities you could ask for
