Discounting activated abilities of of lands you control by 1 is pretty significant and makes cards like Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx (currently ruining lives in Pioneer in a mono-green deck, coincidentally) and Cabal Coffers that much easier to abuse

Giada changes that equation by giving Angels an early-game Commander that ramps directly into the Tribe

It is great glue for any Spirit deck

Its very unlikely the card is going to be unbanned in Modern and Pioneer, so your best bet is to use it in Commander instead
