Admittedly I spent a long time not knowing that this card existed, but now I have a play set so that I never have to worry about building a deck without it
For example, if you scry 2 and put two lands on the bottom of your library that you had absolutely no use for, people will often describe this as drawing two cards. Of course, you didn't actually put any material in your hand, so you didn't actually draw anything, hence the virtual card advantage
What's different in the bonus card is the text on the card, and it was exactly what players wanted

You could use this on turn 3 and you probably have a land to put into play at that time, but thats so much worse than just playing any 3-mana creature
