I just dont think that 2 strength is going to be enough to make the otherwise stellar Blades ability overly effective (unless you pair it with some crazy support cards and additional resist)

So is it a powerful card

Emet-Selch, Unsundered / Hades, Sorcerer of Eld Rating: 8/10 If we discount Emet-Selch, Unsundereds ability to transform, its clearly a good card but not terribly exciting

To better rank Flare of Fortitude, were going to take a look at mass protection spells, which Im defining as any white spell that can be cast at instant speed and save you and/or your permanents from dying. They often: Give creatures hexproof, protection, and/or indestructible (Unbreakable Formation, Make a Stand)

However, if you do and the target is illegal as the ability tries to resolve, it won't resolve and none of its effects will happen
