While all Isshin decks want to attack, this is another commander that you can build in a few ways, as there are loads of strong creature cards to choose from, and plenty of room for building up subthemes
The controlled strategy was simply to keep everyone's hands open on everyone else's turn, then to clap before you drew your card for the turn, keeping your new card secret
This doesn't seem wholly sufficient to explain the spike, otherwise why didn't it pop off during Bloomburrow, which brought in a popular new bird commander Kastral, the Windcrested

Players can pull Charizard ex, Pikachu ex, and Mewtwo ex from Genetic Apex packs and will be rewarded with an immersive Mew if they get one of every Pokemon that the expansion has to offer
