Cards such as Sangan, Witch of the Black Forest, and Mystical Space Typhoon suddenly appear in the characters' decks when they could have been used in the manga duels, and monsters that were shelved in the manga, such as Summoned Skull and Black Luster Soldier, are brought back for some anime episodes and never referenced again
Cards that currently are Forbidden live on in many different ways in the game, from different formats to collections that players have in their binders, but maybe one day, a few more cards that are Forbidden will get their spotlight again by being legal to play
