You get incredible board control, a card that works both as a unique combo piece and a payoff for anything generating infinite mana, plus a fantastic mana sink in the hand or on the board
Maybe if it destroyed seven creatures per swing I could see it, but for now, this is a flavor win and nothing more
Throw in cards like Colossus Hammer that are cheap on the front end and have massive equip costs that you can bypass, and youre in business
Cast this turn one, swing turn two, ting the defender, toss a +1/+1 counter here with your mana, you've now dealt three with your 2/3
Building this commander is a nice exercise because youll want to mill opponents, cast low-mana value spells to be able to double spell a lot, along with casting some high-cost spells
Players are also introduced to the real Sphene, who is revealed to be alive but was locked in cryostasis for four centuries, and was released following the death of her Endless copy with the Warrior's allies curing her of her illness
